Be Smart Online: Workshops on Digital Balance

On 23 October 2026, workshops for students from Stanisław Staszic Primary School No. 1 in Kielce are taking place at the INTEURO Centre in Kielce. Led by psychologist Dr Katarzyna Krzystanek, the sessions focus on preventing multimedia addiction. We are organising the event as part of the “Friendly School” programme.

Smartphones, games, videos and social media are part of young people’s everyday lives. The workshops provide space to reflect on personal habits and explore how to balance screen time with learning, rest and relationships.

Led by psychologist Dr Katarzyna Krzystanek, the sessions form part of the project’s “Multimedia Addiction and Digital Hygiene” series. The series aims to encourage mindful use of technology and build a balance between the digital world and everyday life away from screens.

Self-Awareness and Digital Balance

The series covers:

  • recognising signs of problematic smartphone, gaming and social media use;
  • understanding how digital habits affect concentration, emotions and sleep;
  • planning time online and breaks from screens;
  • developing self-regulation and responding mindfully to notifications and the pressure to be constantly online.

Wellbeing and Relationships Within the School Community

The activity supports the project’s aim of strengthening mental wellbeing and integration within the school community, including students with migration experience. Developing self-awareness, responsibility and the ability to manage one’s own behaviour is intended to improve wellbeing, strengthen relationships and build resilience to media pressure.

Thank you to the community of Stanisław Staszic Primary School No. 1 in Kielce for your cooperation and participation in today’s workshops!

Support for the School Community
