Training on preventing exclusion at Primary School No. 15 in Kielce
Teachers of Primary School No. 15 in Kielce took part in training devoted to prejudice, stereotypes, and building a safe and open school. The meeting was held as part of the “Przyjazna Szkoła” project.
The topic of prejudice, stereotypes and preventing exclusion was the focus of a training session held on 14 April 2026 at Primary School No. 15 in Kielce. The meeting was organised as part of activities supporting the well-being of the school community and the development of teaching staff competences.
The project focuses on supporting teachers in working with students with diverse educational and cultural needs, including children with migration experience. Particular importance is placed on building a friendly, safe and diversity-open school that promotes integration and strengthens positive relations between students, teachers and parents.
The training was led by Dr Katarzyna Krzystanek, psychologist and expert in psychosocial support for children and youth. Participants learned about the mechanisms behind prejudice, the impact of stereotypes on peer relations, and the consequences of exclusion for the development of young people.
An important part of the meeting included practical exercises and exchange of experiences, thanks to which teachers could jointly seek effective methods of responding to difficult educational situations. The importance of empathy, communication and building an atmosphere of respect and cooperation at school on a daily basis was strongly emphasised.
Primary School No. 15 in Kielce is participating in the pilot project “Increasing the level of well-being of the school community in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship”, whose aim is to support schools in creating a modern, safe and inclusive environment for students, teachers and the entire school community.
