Second day of training at Kielce’s “Fifteen”
On 13 May 2026, another free training session for the teaching staff took place at Primary School No. 15 in Kielce, devoted to preventing prejudice and discrimination in a multicultural school environment.
The Integration Europe – East Association once again supported the teaching staff of Primary School No. 15 in Kielce in their efforts to build a safe, open and friendly school. The training was led by Dr Katarzyna Krzystanek – a psychologist specialising in the mental wellbeing of children and young people, as well as in creating a safe educational space.
The event was organised as part of the project “Improving the wellbeing of the school community in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship”, which is aligned with the objectives of the Government programme “Friendly School”.
The meeting had a workshop format and focused on practical solutions that strengthen the wellbeing of pupils, teachers and the entire school community. Participants discussed how to create an atmosphere based on mutual respect, empathy and cooperation, as well as how to respond effectively to the challenges of modern education.
An important topic of the training was the difficulties that may arise in culturally diverse classes – from pupils’ emotional overload, through communication barriers, to challenges related to the integration of children and young people from different countries and backgrounds.
Participants analysed specific school situations and jointly looked for ways to respond to prejudice, stereotypes and unequal treatment. Particular attention was paid to the role of the teacher as a person who can strengthen pupils’ sense of safety and build relationships based on trust, attentiveness and dialogue.
The project “Improving the wellbeing of the school community in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship” is an important step towards building a modern school – a safe, friendly place that responds to the needs of today’s pupils and teachers.
📌 Important: Activities carried out under the “Friendly School” programme support schools in building an environment based on wellbeing, safety, cooperation, dialogue and mutual respect.
