On 10 October, the School Complex in Opatów hosted psychological support workshops and consultations as part of the “Friendly School” programme. The support was intended for students with experience of migration.

The sessions were led by psychologist Kateryna Potaieva. Workshop activities were complemented by psychological consultations. Both forms of support aimed to strengthen young people’s wellbeing in the school environment.

Support within students’ reach

Moving to a new country, school and environment can bring many everyday challenges: learning a new language, making friends and settling into unfamiliar surroundings. Access to psychological support at school creates a space to discuss young people’s needs and the difficulties they face.

The “Friendly School” programme aims to strengthen the wellbeing of the school community. Workshops and consultations are part of the support intended to help students feel safe, build relationships and find their place in everyday school life.

Thank you to the students and staff of the School Complex in Opatów for the meeting and your cooperation.

Support for the school community

The “Friendly School” programme combines activities for pupils with support for teaching staff and parents. We publish information about meetings, consultations and educational resources on the project website.
