“Friendly School” at the Geopark. Integration workshops for the community of the School Complex in Opatów
Young people, parents, teachers and carers from the School Complex in Opatów came together on 7 October for integration workshops at the Geopark in Kielce. Organised as part of the “Friendly School” programme, the trip offered an opportunity to spend time together and build relationships away from everyday school routines.
On 7 October, young people from the School Complex in Opatów, together with parents, teachers and carers, took part in integration workshops at the Geopark in Kielce. The meeting was held as part of the “Friendly School” programme and offered an opportunity to spend time together outside everyday school life.
The trip brought together different generations and people who help shape the school community every day. Taking part together created space for young people and adults to talk, get to know one another better and build relationships in a setting beyond the classroom.
Shared experiences bring people closer
Integration workshops provide an opportunity to meet in a less formal setting. Spending time together encourages conversation, the exchange of experiences and the discovery of common ground. The visit to the Geopark in Kielce offered this kind of opportunity for the community of the School Complex in Opatów.
A school community includes young people and adults
Cooperation between students, their families and school staff is an important part of the “Friendly School” programme. Good relationships between young people and adults help create an environment where mutual understanding and support come more easily. Workshops and trips together are one way to develop these relationships.
Thank you to the young people, parents, teachers and carers from the School Complex in Opatów for taking part in the workshops together!
