Integration workshops at Primary School No. 32 named after Janusz Kusociński in Kielce
The first session was held under the theme “Traditions that unite” and focused on Easter and its related traditions. Participants discussed Easter eggs, their symbolism, appearance, and how they are presented across different Slavic nations. The workshop also explored the origins of this tradition and its cultural significance.
The second session, titled “Language that unites”, focused on the history of the development of Slavic languages, as well as the similarities and differences between Polish and Ukrainian. Students were able to better understand common linguistic roots, discover interesting relationships between words, and see how language can foster mutual understanding.
The meetings had both an educational and integrative character. They provided an opportunity to discuss shared values, traditions, and culture, while also promoting openness, mutual respect, and better understanding within the school environment.
