Discovering Kielce Together: A Trip for the Primary School No. 1 Community

Students with experience of migration at Stanisław Staszic Primary School No. 1 in Kielce joined parents and teachers on a trip to the Geopark and around Kielce. The outing was organised as part of the “Friendly School” programme.

Stepping outside the classroom gave participants a chance to meet in a more informal setting. Spending time together allowed them to get to know one another, talk and build relationships between young people and adults.

The trip combined exploring the Geopark and Kielce with bringing the school community closer together. Parents, teachers and students shared an experience that took them beyond their everyday roles at school.

Getting to Know the City and One Another

Exploring their local surroundings together can help young people feel more at home in the place where they go to school. For children with experience of migration, it also offers a chance to get to know the city alongside familiar faces from school and supportive adults. The Geopark and Kielce provided just such a setting for coming together.

Relationships That Support Everyday School Life

Cooperation between students, their families and teaching staff is an important part of the “Friendly School” programme. Good relationships between these groups help create an environment based on mutual understanding and support. Shared outings are one opportunity to develop these relationships beyond the classroom.

Thank you to the students, parents and teachers at Stanisław Staszic Primary School No. 1 in Kielce for taking part in the outing together!

Support for the School Community

The “Friendly School” programme combines activities for students with support for teaching staff and parents. Information about meetings, consultations and educational materials is published on the project website.
