An Educational Corner for Stanisław Staszic Primary School No. 1 in Kielce
On 20 October, the “Friendly School – Świętokrzyskie” Educational Corner was delivered to Stanisław Staszic Primary School No. 1 in Kielce. The school is taking part in the project’s pilot phase, and the materials provided are intended to support Polish language learning and integration within the school community.
On 20 October 2026, we handed over another “Friendly School – Świętokrzyskie” Educational Corner, this time to Stanisław Staszic Primary School No. 1 in Kielce. Textbooks, games and educational materials are intended to help pupils learn Polish and work together in the classroom.
The school is one of the institutions taking part in the pilot phase of our project under the “Friendly School” programme. The Educational Corner was provided by the Integration Europe – East Association, the regional operator of Module 2 of the programme. This support is available for the school community to use in its everyday work.
Polish for learning and conversation
For children with migration experience, attending a Polish school also means learning the language used by their teachers and peers. They need it to understand instructions, ask questions and explain their own ideas. Textbooks and resources for learning Polish as a foreign language are intended to help develop these skills in line with pupils’ needs and levels of proficiency.
The Educational Corner also includes games and materials about integration, cultural diversity and communication. They can be used for individual work, small group sessions and shared classroom activities. This allows language learning to go hand in hand with getting to know others and cooperating.
Support available every day
The Educational Corner will remain at the school as a resource that can be used again and again. Teachers can draw on its materials when preparing lessons, practising vocabulary or planning integration activities. Using games and educational resources together also creates opportunities to build relationships between children from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Providing Educational Corners to schools taking part in the pilot is part of the work to support the wellbeing of school communities. It combines support for learning with opportunities to work together and develop mutual understanding.
We thank the community of Stanisław Staszic Primary School No. 1 in Kielce for their cooperation and participation in the project’s pilot phase!
Support for the school community
